Michelle-O-Gram: A Mission of Hope, Prevention & Access
Introduction
Breast cancer remains one of the most common cancers affecting women (and, less often, men). Early detection is critical. But for many, cost, lack of insurance, or difficult access can be barriers. That’s where organizations like Michelle-O-Gram step in — helping to close the gap between lifesaving care and those who might otherwise go without.
History & Origins
Michelle-O-Gram was founded in memory of Michelle Blauser Standridge, a Dunnellon, Florida woman who battled breast cancer and passed away at just 36 years old.
Michelle was known for encouraging everyone around her to get mammograms and make breast health a priority.
After her passing in 2009, her family, friends, and supporters launched Michelle-O-Gram to continue her mission.
The nonprofit began small but has grown into a vital Central Florida resource, assisting thousands of people with access to breast screenings and diagnostic services.
Mission, Services & Impact
Michelle-O-Gram exists to ensure that no one is denied a mammogram or diagnostic test because of cost. The organization:
Provides screening and diagnostic mammograms
Helps fund ultrasounds, MRIs, and biopsies
Assists with genetic testing and counseling
Partners with imaging centers to reduce rates and expand access
Operates entirely through volunteers and donations, with nearly all funds going directly to client care
Through these efforts, Michelle-O-Gram has become a lifeline for thousands across Alachua, Citrus, Lake, Levy, Marion, and Sumter Counties.
Warren’s Power Washing Partnership
At Warren’s Power Washing, we believe in — using our business as a platform to support causes that truly matter in our community. That’s why every October, in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we donate 10% of our gross sales to Michelle-O-Gram.
This commitment allows us to give back while helping spread awareness of early detection. Every home washed and every driveway cleaned contributes directly to making screenings possible for someone in need.
Jeeptoberfest & Mud Pit Fundraiser
Last year, Warren’s Power Washing also partnered with Jeeptoberfest, one of Central Florida’s biggest Jeep events. We set up right at the mud pit exit, offering to wash mud and debris off vehicles — especially clearing out radiators so engines wouldn’t overheat after a day of fun.
Instead of charging for the service, we asked for a $20 donation, with 100% of proceeds going directly to Michelle-O-Gram. The response was incredible, and together with Jeep owners and the event community, we turned off-road fun into lifesaving support for local families.
This year, we’re excited to continue that partnership and grow the impact even further.
